Anonymous Trump official: Senior advisers work against president to thwart 'misguided impulses'

This guy is mentally retarded. He's this dumb Southerner' Trump reportedly said of his attorney general Jeff Sessions who recused himself from the Russia probe

"That is why many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump's more misguided impulses until he is out of office", the piece states.

For instance, staff would remove pieces of paper from Trump's desk that they didn't want him to sign, Woodward wrote, and the president wouldn't ask about them later.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders released a statement pointing out that Trump handily won the 2016 presidential election thanks to the support of almost 62 million voters, and that, "None of them voted for a gutless, anonymous source to the failing New York Times", using Trump's favourite catchphrase for the newspaper.

"When you tell me about some anonymous source in the administration, probably who is failing, and probably here for all the wrong reasons", Trump said, adding, "Now, and the New York Times is failing".

Dao said he had published a few other anonymous pieces during his tenure as op-ed editor, which began in early 2016.

Trump called the op-ed "gutless" and demanded that "the failing New York Times" release the source's name.

The anonymous staff member wanted to assure readers that the President is surrounded by people who can rein him in, and that senior officials agree with the directly on the Trump presidency.

"We fully recognise what is happening".

Colbert also said he took "no comfort" in the fact that there are people in the White House who are trying to do "what's right even when Donald Trump won't".

Germany v France - Preview and possible lineups
Serbia, despite having topped Ireland's World Cup qualifying group find themselves in Group C along with Euro 2004 Winners Greece. Teams play in groups entirely disconnected to the Nations League, with the winners and runners-up qualifying for the tournament.

In the piece published online Wednesday, the official sounds an alarm about Trump's "amorality" and "impetuous" leadership style.

"This isn't the work of the so-called deep state", the author wrote. "It was not his op-ed", Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said.

According to The Post, Woodward's book alleges that Mattis told associates of President Trump that the president had the understanding of "a fifth- or sixth-grader".

The president speaking to a group in the White House accused the Times of dishonesty, dismissing the editorial as "gutless".

In this case, The Times said it granted anonymity "at the request of the author" because the person's job "would be jeopardized by its disclosure".

Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, wrote on Twitter that "I said in July 2017 in my short tenure [at the White House] that there were forces inside the building that were "saving the country" from POTUS".

So rather than risk the invocation of the Constitution's 25th Amendment, the prescribed route for removing a president, the writer boasts that 'we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until - one way or another - it's over'. She also accuses the individual of putting himself or herself ahead of the will of the American people. It's also not created to put the administration on better footing - by allegedly revealing the inner workings of the White House, this staffer has launched a molehunt that will tear apart Trump's inner staff.

The White House has condemned Woodward's book as "fabricated stories", and Mr Trump called it "a work of fiction".

The writer remains anonymous, but it's not the first time we've heard that Trump Administration officials see themselves as protecting America from Trump.
