Producer Slams NBC for Impeding Weinstein Story: ‘Massive Breach of Journalistic Integrity’

NBC threatened to ruin Ronan Farrow if he didn’t stop reporting on Harvey Weinstein: report

Former investigative producer Rich McHugh says NBC News displayed a "massive breach of journalistic integrity" and told him and Ronan Farrow to "stand down" on a report into Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.

Losing the Weinstein story did result in a 12-page internal report, which NBC provided to The New York Times, the paper reported Thursday.

"Farrow was prepared to fly to California to interview a woman who was going to claim in silhouette on camera that Weinstein had raped her", reports the far-left Daily Beast. "There's no truth to that all". Farrow and McHugh declined through his lawyer to comment for the Daily Beast article, which also alleged that Farrow suspected that Oppenheim had would wanted to dissuade Farrow from pursuing the Weinstein story because the executive harbored dreams of becoming a hollywood screenwriter.

Noah Oppenheim, the president of NBC News, told the New York Times Farrow "was never told to stop in the way he's implying".

NBC called the report "malicious distortion" in a statement to Fox News. "I knew that Weinstein was calling NBC executives directly", he added. "One time it even happened when we were in the room", he said. NBC News told him 'we will not stand in your way, ' and allowed him to take his reporting to The New Yorker, where, two months later, he published a strong piece that cited the following victims by name: Asia Argento, Mira Sorvino, Rosanna Arquette, Lucia Evans, Emma de Caunes, Jessica Barth, and Sophie Dix.

Yet Another Google Pixel 3 XL Leaks Weeks Ahead Of Launch
So the Google Pixel phones are launched by late October, they will be launched after a month of the Apple iPhone 2018 launch. The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has been leaked in all glory much before Google had even announced the launch date.

In each of these instances, rather than bring in outside investigators to fully vet the scandal (as Fox News has done), NBC News chose to investigate NBC News, and each and every time NBC News was able to report that it found no wrongdoing at NBC News.

The initial story about Weinstein ran in The New Yorker in October.

Once the story broke, NBC News employees were confused as to why their bosses had willingly let go of such an explosive story.

NBC News itself has also been under fire after the far-left network circled the wagons for MSNBC anchor Joy Reid, who serial lied as a means to blame a supposed hacker (that does not exist) for homophobic ravings published on her personal blog a decade ago.

Losing Farrow and the Weinstein story is just one of many reasons that Lack, who returned as head of NBC News in 2015 after running the news division in the '90s, has been under scrutiny of late. He'll present his own account in his book, "Catch and Kill", which has yet to be published. And immediately New Yorker recognized that, and it is not accurate to say that it was not reportable. McHugh referred to his employers as "resistant" to Farrow's 8-month-long investigation, saying that they pulled the plug on a planned interview with an anonymous survivor.
