‘Collusion is not a crime,’ says Trump, as Mueller-Manafort trial begins

Trump takes on Robert Mueller over

"When you diss our allies in the way he did, treat them the way he did, and then you cozy up to someone like Vladimir Putin who is not our friend", Whitman said on MSNBC. "Well the president didn't hack. He didn't pay for the hacking".

At this point, Ms Camerota reminded the presidential lawyers he had promised to talk to her "all day" about accusation of Russia's collusion into Donald Trump's victorious campaign in 2016.

Fordham University law professor Jed Shurgerman concurred, writing in Slate last week that "while "collusion" might not be a crime under any federal statute, any collusive conduct by the Trump campaign could be prosecuted as a 'conspiracy against the United States'". Trump has reluctantly acknowledged Russian interference in the election, but has called the investigation "a big hoax" to explain his upset victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump, who has long complained about the criminal probe into his White House victory, said the idea that his campaign worked with Moscow was a "Total Hoax" in a series of tweets aimed at undermining the integrity of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. Or at least that seems to be where this is headed. Cohen past year testified to two congressional committees on Russian election interference and did not say Trump had advance knowledge of the meeting, a source told CNN. And he did it on both shows. Mueller has already accused Trump's former campaign chairman and another top aide of working as foreign agents for Ukrainian interests and funneling millions of dollars from the work into offshore accounts used to fund lavish lifestyles. A spokesman for Mueller said there was no dispute when Mueller, who was Federal Bureau of Investigation director at the time, left the club, the Post said.

Korea Constructs New Missiles While Trump Claims Denuclearization Success
Just last week, satellite images emerged that appeared to show North Korea dismantling a key Sohae satellite launching station. The soldier's family had been notified, though it was not clear if his remains were among those found, Byrd said.

The other 31 people charged have either pleaded guilty or are Russians seen as unlikely to enter an American courtroom. Nevertheless, Trump's legal team is preparing to counter the results of the investigation.

Of course, Cohen's allegation has thrown all of that into doubt.

Fox News reported liberal icon Alan Dershowitz speculated that Mueller hopes the charges he filed against Paul Manafort will force the onetime Trump campaign manager to reveal something incriminating about the president.

That's the meeting Cohen was referring to, Giuliani suggested, adding that he was coming out with this information to "get ahead" of a story that was about to be published.
