Transfer: Willian's absence at Chelsea training sparks fresh exit rumours

Harry Kane of England looks on during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia 3rd Place Playoff match between Belgium and England at Saint Petersburg Stadium

Manchester United and Liverpool are leading the chase to sign Mateo Kovacic after the £71m-rated midfielder told Real Madrid he wants to leave this summer, according to reports via TeamTalk.

Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud remain at the club and with Willian, Eden Hazard and Pedro all unsafe in the final third, Chelsea should cause problems for several other defenders.

Chelsea have turned their attention to Paris Saint-Germain's Kevin Trapp and Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak as they continue to seek a potential replace for Thibaut Courtois, reports claim.

Yet the Brazilian has insisted he is happy at Chelsea.

Regardless of the rumours surrounding Willian's future, he is expected to return to training in the next couple of days, with the Blues facing Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday prior to their Premier League opener against Huddersfield Town on August 11.

Lewis Hamilton claims faultless win at Hungarian GP
Mercedes were quick to tell the Finn to give Ricciardo the position back, perhaps in an effort to limit any later penalties. On arguably the most hard track for overtaking in F1 after Monaco, it greatly reduced Vettel's hopes of finishing second.

Alderweireld has been one of the best defenders in the Premier League over the past few seasons, and his future at Tottenham is up in the air with the Belgium global barely featuring since the turn of the New Year.

The Times reports that the Willian has been struggling with passport issues, but his absence has raised some eyebrows back at Stamford Bridge. So far, Willian hasn't done that.

However, in an interview with Brazilian TV on Sunday, Willian said, "I'm very happy at Chelsea".

And while Chelsea aren't willing to pay that fee, selling Willian would leave them with the necessary funds.

But it is thought Willian may be trying to put pressure on Chelsea for a new contract, with his current £125,000-a-week deal due to run out in two years.
