Fortnite's Playground mode to go offline

One of Fortnite: Battle Royale's newest Limited Time Modes will become a mainstay in the game. We now know when it'll be going away, and what it'll be like next time it pops up in game.

While it's now finally active and working as intended, it is a limited time mode, and as such won't be in rotation forever. Now, Epic Games has announced that they will be suspending the popular game mode.

While Playground Mode is leaving Fortnite on July 12, fans can rest assured that it will be back in the game at some point down the line.

The LTM mode has only been running for a few days but Epic Games have already revealed an end date for Fortnite Playground. That's next Thursday, when Fortnite season 5 kicks off. The mode, as we know it, is described as the "first step into what a full creative mode looks like in Fortnite", so expect to see a whole lot more creativity spilling out in the future as players are given more and more tools to play around with. There's also much more loot to find, and it affords opportunities to screw around with the game that you could not in a regular match.

Gareth Southgate and the secret behind England's World Cup penalty success
England's first ever penalty shootout win in a World Cup secured a quarter-final meeting with Sweden on Saturday afternoon. They're going to fancy themselves to stymie an England side that might not have the ingenuity to break them down.

"For the next version of Playground we're hoping to include functionality that would allow team selection options within the Playground itself".

From the wording of the message, it sounds like Playground is not in it's final "version", and so it is expected there will be changes made in the future which may lead to it being temporarily disabled.

Have you been enjoying the Playground mode? "And remember, you will have until the release of v5.0 to access your Playground LTM replays".
