Entertainers who have deals with Fox are now denouncing Fox News

Creator executive producer Seth Mac Farlane of the television show Family Guy speaks onstage during the FOX portion of the 2018 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour at The Langham Huntington Pasadena

"The Orville" star's philanthropy comes on the heels of MacFarlane decrying Fox News over the weekend for "fringe" tactics that make him "embarrassed" to work for the larger company.

Levitan, who serves as executive producer of the hit sitcom, said on Twitter that he would see "Modern Family" through to the end and then set up shop elsewhere. Family Guy is also produced by 20th Century Fox TV for the Fox network.

"If you're looking to understand what's actually happening in this country, always assume the opposite of whatever they're telling you on the big news stations", Carlson said Friday on his talk show.

Producers and directors, including director Judd Apatow (left) and actor and writer Seth MacFarlane (right), are speaking out against Fox News for its support of President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, Paul Feig, who collaborated with Apatow on Freaks and Geeks in the "90s, threw his lot in with the others, making a stand against Fox News" role in furthering the current administration's agenda.

Levitan echoed MacFarlane's sentiments Monday night after Laura Ingraham described child detention centers as "essentially summer camps" on her Fox News show, "The Ingraham Angle".

Apatow also spoke up on Monday.

Trump's aide Sarah Sanders 'to leave White House'
Others have been assisted to find alternative positions elsewhere in the administration. She responded afterward, expressing her love for working for President Trump.

"In other words, don't think critically, don't consult multiple news sources, and in general, don't use your brain", he wrote.

Fox News and its entertainment divisions may be operated by separate companies in the future.

"I have made two films for 20th Century Fox and love the people in the movie and TV divisions", Feig tweeted on Tuesday.

As his tweet on Saturday decried the idea to "just blindly obey Fox News", MacFarlane has donated $2 million to NPR and $500,000 to Los Angeles' NPR membership station, KPCC, the top news distribution for NPR content in California.

The move is a concerning one as other major media players have signaled dissatisfaction with working for companies who have parent organizations affiliated with Fox News.

In several tweets, Apatow, who last worked with 20th Century Fox on the short-lived series "Undeclared", criticized Fox's owners, the Murdoch family, and said that every Fox employee has to reckon with whom they work for. "How can you remain silent when they promote these policies?"
