Apple’s WWDC 2018: Here’s what to expect

Patently Applei Phone wrap-around screen patent

The WWDC is knocking on the doorstep, the event will start from June 4 in San Jose, California.

MacOS and WatchOS announcements should also feature prominently.

Apple typically showcases the software updates it has planned for iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers.

Google during its I/O 2018 conference announced a new feature to its upcoming Android P interface with something named as the Dashboard.

iOS 12 is expected toinclude performance improvements, redesigned basic apps (like Stocks), new Animoji and a greater focus on augmented reality. If launched, users will be able to enter an app on their MacBook and pick up from where they left off in the same app on their iPhone. Here's a roundup of what we are expecting from the 2018 edition of the WWDC.

Apple which has been criticised of late for security, quality and battery issues will look to fix these with iOS 12. NFC may be opened up to provide users with more functions, such as opening NFC-capable doors, transmitting data to transit systems, personal authentication devices, and more.

India's economic growth jumps to 7.7%
India imports almost 80 percent of its oil and fluctuations in crude oil prices seriously affect the Indian economy. The pick-up in investment activity (fixed capital formation) is also a good sign.

The iOS 12 will see Apple going all in on augmented reality with multiple updates to its ARKit framework that was released a year ago. The new version will include the ability for multiple users to share an AR experience on multiple devices at once.

AIRPOWER: THE WIRELESS CHARGING MAT Next, Apple showcased its wireless charging mat called Air Power previous year but that never saw the light of day. I sincerely hope, Apple has spent time on this and unveils a Siri 2.0.

In short, is this move going to result in the dumbing down of Mac apps to the lowest common denominator of what's practical on an iPhone? The fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV owners will have to download the Apple Events app from the App Store of tvOS for this.

New iPads or MacBook Air? With the rumours of some hardware and software launches surfacing on the internet, the kickoff of the event has already gotten a lot of tech geeks to the edge of their seats.

Hardware announcements are expected to be few and far between, with iPhone SE 2 expected to hog the limelight among the hardware.

There could be a new iPad Pro with Face ID, and the AirPower wireless charger is long overdue now.
