Lando Might Be The Next Star Wars Spin-Off Movie

Emilia Clarke is tired of hearing female leads called “strong”

Solo: A Star Wars Story is a film that feels like it doesn't have a reason to exist when it spends its time retelling or explaining the origin of details we already know about its titular character's backstory. Apart from the handsome costumes and locations, the fans will also get to see a lot of action in the movie. Sure, his reputation as one of the smoothest motherfuckers in the galaxy must play a part, but there's so much left to explore about his life.

Meanwhile, Nerdist's Michelle Buchman praised both actors, and even said Solo is her new favorite Star Wars film. We understand why things turn out the way they do, and this manages to imbue the legend of Han Solo himself with a well-earned deeper meaning.

The critics have delivered their verdicts on Solo: A Star Wars Story. Woody Harrelson is the legendary career criminal Tobias Beckett, a charming and duplicitous sort who warns Han to never trust anyone, ever. And don't get me wrong, Glover is great, but it's at this point in the movie that everything gets better. Though maybe it's less of a gamble and more of a sure thing since Glover has the hot hand right now thanks not only to his stint as the younger version of the character made famous by Billy Dee Williams, but also as his musical alter ego Childish Gambino and as the creative mind behind the fantastic series, Atlanta.

However, Bradshaw thought that Solo showed "Ron Howard was born to direct it".

"Checking expectations" seems to be a common theme in the newest era of Star Wars films.

That Solo, the second of these "Star Wars Stories", isn't a face-plant is a miracle unto itself, but that doesn't mean it escapes the trappings of its premise. Who's next for the saga?

"There's a terrific ensemble cast-dynamic and an effortless channelling of the spirit of Episodes IV to VI from father-and-son screenwriting team Lawrence and Jonathan Kasdan who should really be allowed to get their teeth into the stories' daddy issues and Freudian anxieties". Solo makes it; Qi'ra doesn't.

Groups sue to stop Iowa's 'fetal heartbeat' abortion ban
The Iowa attorney general announced that he would not defend the law because it would undermine rights and protections for women. It bans abortions after a heart beat is detected from an ultrasound, which typically occurs around six weeks into a pregnancy.

However, some critics had a wonderful time watching Solo, finding a solid movie at the center of everything.

Alden Ehrenreich, left, and Donald Glover attend the screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story during the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on May 15, 2018 in Cannes, France.

For Clarke who grew up in London in an "incredibly equal" household where her marketing executive mother "was the one who brought back the bacon", it was a shock.

"The performances are largely excellent".

"This is attractive", Emilia Clarke (Qi'ra) said in the video, presumably referring to the stunning costumes.

Not much is yet known about Newton's mysterious Solo character, whose name is Val, and the actress played coy when ET asked for details earlier this year.

It was only when she began working in film that she encountered discrimination but she says "the temperature changed dramatically the morning all of this stuff (the Me Too movement) started".
