CBS' Murphy Brown Revival Will Be Taking on Cable News

Monday will now be home to two comedies and two dramas as the revived Candice Bergen sitcom will air alongside 'Mom.'

Murphy Brown is coming back, and this time, the legendary anchorwoman be hosting a show called "Murphy in the Morning".

Suicide Squad's Jay Hernandez will be taking over the role made famous by Tom Selleck in the Magnum P.I. reboot, which tells the story of a former Navy SEAL who uses his military training to become a private investigator.

Candice Bergen's "Murphy Brown" struggled as a single mother at the FYI network in the early 90s, but in 2018 she will fight for ratings against a Fox News-like cable show starring her child.

Another CBS reboot, a new version of the 1980s detective series Magnum P.I.

Check out the full CBS fall lineup with the schedule below. The original series with Daly and Sharon Gless aired its final episodes in (you guessed it) 1988 - indeed, 30 years ago this month.

Despite the success that ABC has seen with its revival of "Roseanne", CBS isn't getting too far ahead of itself in predicting world-beating success for the return of "Murphy Brown".

STDs Hit Record High in California
Since 2013, the number of babies in California born with congenital syphilis has more than quadrupled - to 278 past year . Syphilis is categorized as primary, secondary, latent, and tertiary- and each stage has different signs and symptoms .

CBS has always been one of the most successful networks in terms of ratings because they know their audience.

Another new CBS fall drama, which will air 8-9 Sunday, is "God Friended Me". Executive producer Dick Wolf's new crime drama is set in NY and stars Jeremy Sisto, Zeeko Zaki, Missy Peregrym and Connie Nielsen.

On Tuesday nights, viewers will be treated to a brand new drama called "FBI".

"FBI" will be the first Wolf-produced network show since 2003 that's not on NBC.

CBS is going to have a whole different look this fall.

Two other new dramas, The Code and The Red Line, and new comedy Fam will be held for midseason, along with returning shows Instinct, Elementary, Man with a Plan, and Life.
