A team of 22 British Rugby players has arrived in Sri Lanka on 10th May to participate in a friendly Rugby tournament.

A second player from a British rugby club visiting Sri Lanka has died, two days after being admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties, police said.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the club requested that the privacy of their families would be 'respected and upheld at this hard time'.

The pair had been touring the country with Durham-based Clems Pirates RFC when they visited the club in Colombo.

Police said an autopsy on Howard revealed that he did not die due to any external injuries or any illness.
