Dr. Ken Jeong Comes to the Rescue After Woman Suffers Seizure

Ken was doing a comedy set at Stand Up Live Saturday night in Phoenix, where a lady began seizing in the third row toward the beginning of the show. It was such flawless timing: "Ken just jumped from the stage to help", says Holmberg, noting that the woman appeared to be having a seizure. He was playing with them from the stage for a second and it was like, 'No, no, no. He thought he was being heckled.

TMZ was the first to report the incident Sunday, saying Jeong cleared the area and attended to the fan until paramedics arrived. "It was a moment where time stands still.There was a hush over the room", she told USAToday. An EMT in the audience also came quickly for assistance. "He jumps off stage to assist.Dr. Ken to the rescue!" tweeted Holmberg, referencing the series "Dr. Ken" Jeong starred in from 2015-17.

The woman regained consciousness and returned to her feet, and Jeong stayed with her until an ambulance arrived, TMZ reported.

The woman was taken to the hospital and Jeong finished his set.

Jeong does not practice medicine anymore but is still licensed in California, though his certification expires in July, according to state records.
