Airline: Passenger removed after physical altercation on Miami flight to Chicago

Video captures disruptive passenger being kicked off American Airlines flight

According to American Airlines, the plane was still at the gate in Miami.

This video contains vulgar and offensive language.

According to a report from ABC 7 Chicago, a witness was able to capture the incident on video, where a man identified as 28-year-old Chicago resident Jacob Garcia got into an altercation with another passenger. Passengers can be seen clapping and cheering as Garcia is escorted through the airport.

When the manager attempted to move Garcia to another seat, he began screaming insults at the passenger and her boyfriend, police said. Still, they couldn't get Garcia off the plan because he "wedged his legs and body in the seat", and then "locked his feet around the legs of the seat".

According to the airline, the crew followed procedure and began deplaning. When he refused officers were called in and had to use a Taser. A stun gun was deployed but did not appear to attach correctly due to Garcia's clothing.

"What is the reason why you are removing me from this plane?" he demands, pulling at the officers trying to put handcuffs on him.

Jets win game 5; fans erupt at Whiteout Street Party
The original Winnipeg Jets - now the Arizona Coyotes - only won two playoff series, beating the Calgary Flames in 1985 and 1987. About 15,000 fans gathered along Donald Street and Graham Avenue as part of the Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party.

Garcia's return to Chicago will be even further behind schedule - he was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer without violence, criminal mischief and attempting to deprive an officer with means of protection.

The plane left about an hour after its scheduled departure.

A passenger on a Miami to Chicago O'Hare flight was Tased 10 times and tried to grab an officer's gun, cops say, while fighting removal from the plane. "Once law enforcement was on the aircraft, the passenger then became combative with the officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department", says a statement from American Airlines on the incident.

"American began the process of deplaning the entire aircraft".

American said the passenger was ultimately arrested by law enforcement officials.

"We will cooperate with the Miami-Dade Police Department on this matter".
