Instagram is now developing a new data portability tool that will enable users to download their entire Instagram history, according to a new report from TechCrunch.

Citing an insider source familiar with the discussions, Bloomberg is reporting that Instagram's founders refused to copy Snapchat's Stories feature until Mark Zuckerberg personally asked for the feature.

According to a report from Bloomberg, this tool is an attempt to put things in line with European Union's new General Data Protection Regulation that will come into effect starting May 25, where new privacy protection regulations for the internet users will be introduced.

Photo-sharing app Instagram has launched a new feature on its platform that enables users to take professional shots.

The president also called Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigators 'the most conflicted group of people I have ever seen'. Mueller also solicited "an array of records about business with foreign nationals" from the president's eponymous organization.

This has been done to make your Instagram data tool portable and to make it as your download information tool. Thus, Instagram will also soon let users download their data. Also, Instagram hasn't made it clear if the downloaded videos and photos would be in the same resolution in which they were uploaded.

Here's how to get Instagram's new "Focus" Feature. This particular feature is wonderful for taking individual portraits; the person will be made the core element of the picture and the background will be blurred in a subtle way to make the individual stand out. Apart from that, the tool will also allow the users to delete any data they want that is stored on Apple's servers. Now you can simply use Instagram for that goal. It only allows you to auto download the images and videos you put on Stories.

In March, Facebook, as part of its privacy updates, announced that users can access data shared with the platform by downloading a secure copy and moving it to another service. Since Instagram is owned by Facebook, the tool will definitely be there for millions of its users around the globe.

In Instagram's case, it operates as such: the moment it detects a face, the viewfinder strives to blur out everything else, so it is unclear if this effect would apply in the case of objects that are not human faces. But the announcement of this data portability tool is a much-needed first step to unlocking Instagram's content vault. It will be interesting to see what the users think about this new development.
