Prince William and Kate waiting until birth to discover baby's gender

Kate Middleton

While there had been rumours that the Duchess of Cambridge had plans for a home birth, the arrival of parking suspension signs and marked press positions have signalled that she will give birth in the private hospital wing, just as she did with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Similar to when the duchess gave birth to Prince George and Princess Charlotte in 2013 and 2015, respectively, the no parking signs were out for more than two weeks before she gave birth.

From designer favourites like Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham to maternity brands such as Séraphine, Middleton never put a fashionable foot wrong.

NAME GAME Is THIS what the new royal baby will be called?

Kate is likely to take an extended period off to recover and nurse the latest addition to her family but is expected to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding on May 19.

Of course, any birth includes expected flexibility with the exact due date.

The Bosnia global ran onto a simple ball over the top and recovered from a poor first touch to poke past goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The wing was opened in 1937 and provides private hospital care for members of the public. These doctors also led the team that helped Kate deliver Charlotte nearly three years ago - on May 2, 2015.

"The no parking signs are up outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London where Kate will give birth later this month", Perry wrote in the caption. But they'll only be able to stand outside of the famous Lindo ward door once they've been given the all clear from Kensington Palace officials.

"The first indication that the baby is on the way will come via [the Kensington Royal Twitter feed], who announce that the Duchess has been admitted to hospital in labor", she tweeted. If the Royal Baby is born April 21, the child will share a birthday with the Queen, who turns a spry 92 this year. Then, photographers, reporters, and television crews can set up.

The due date and sex of the baby are not known, and it has been reported that William and Kate have chosen not to have their third child's gender revealed to them.

Princess Charlotte was also named two days after she was born, on May 4, with a formal announcement revealing her name as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
