The Logan County Sheriff's Office says the suspect, 34-year-old James K. Decoursey of Hopkinsville, was killed by law enforcement in Clarksville, Tennessee.

At 8:07 p.m., he was still on the run and is considered armed and unsafe.

Police said the suspect got out of his vehicle during a traffic stop, reached behind his back and pulled out a gun.

Police launched a manhunt for DeCoursey, who was considered "armed and unsafe".
