Judge denies Stormy Daniels' request to have Trump and Cohen testify

Stormy Daniels says she was physically threatened when she first tried to talk

Cohen has been at the center of the ongoing Stormy Daniels affair saga as he allegedly set up a phony company to pay the adult film star $130,000 to keep her from speaking publicly about her encounters with Trump.

From his assertion that marital rape is legal to his insistence that a $130,000 preelection payment to Stormy Daniels doesn't violate campaign finance laws because he paid it himself (which might actually be a bigger campaign finance violation), President Trump's attorney Michael Cohen has offered up ample evidence that he's not the sharpest legal mind.

In February of 2017, President Trump made a payment of $9,504 to TVEyes, very close to the time that his then Chief of Staff, Reince Preibus, was accused of interfering with the FBI's probe into Russian meddling with the 2016 election.

Otero also noted none of the defendants - Trump, Cohen and Essential Consultants, a company Daniels says Cohen set up for the sole goal of paying her $130,000 in hush money - have filed a response to her amended complaint adding Cohen as a defendant.

"You write a story that has Mr. Trump's name in it, with the word "rape, ' and I'm going to mess your life up", Cohen told Mak".

While he noted, "in every case you always have to be open to settlement", Mr Avenatti said, "At this point we don't see how this case would possibly be settled".

Avenatti wants to question Trump and Cohen for "no more than two hours".

Renault & Nissan to merge and create a new auto manufacturing entity
Ghosn reiterated last month that Japan wouldn't agree to a tighter structure if France remains a shareholder. Carlos Ghosn , the chairman of both companies, is driving the negotiations and would run the combined entity.

Cohen's attorney, David Schwartz, told CBS that the filing seeking to compel Trump and Cohen's testimony was a "reckless use of the legal system".

Cohen has said Daniels made defamatory statements about him in an interview broadcast on Sunday on CBS News' 60 Minutes. She claims she had consensual sex with Mr. Trump in 2006.

She also alleged that she was approached in a parking lot in 2011 when she was with her infant daughter, and was threatened by a man with physical violence if she went public with her story. President Trump denies having a sexual relationship with this woman.

Kelly asked a basic question: Why would Michael Cohen make this payment on Trump's behalf?

Former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti said this admission supports Daniels's claim that the agreement is void, as it says in the document that only Trump, not Cohen's LLC, can enter into an agreement with her.

A hearing on the issue is scheduled in downtown Los Angeles at 10 a.m. April 30.

Trump appeared in good spirits, laughing off the fact that Daniels will be bringing her "Making America Horny Again" strip show to a nearby venue next month, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorised to disclose private conversations. And the White House has repeatedly brushed aside this question.
