Iran urges dialogue to settle Yemen conflicts

New national security adviser John Bolton is known for his hawkish confrontational approach

The missile unit of the Yemeni army announced on Monday that in keeping with the promise of the leader of Yemen's Houthi Ansarullah movement, the unit had fired seven ballistic missiles at Saudi targets the night before.

Saudi Arabia's powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, now touring the United States, must balance animosity towards Iran with the need for stability as he pitches the kingdom's economic transformation plan to foreign investors and drums up support for containing Iran's regional influence.

One Egyptian was killed and two of his countrymen were wounded by falling shrapnel in Riyadh, authorities said, with residents reporting loud explosions and bright flashes in the sky shortly before midnight.

Those weapons allegedly include ballistic missile technology used to target Saudi Arabia, which leads a military coalition of Arab nations backed by the US that is stuck in a stalemate war with the Houthis.

Houthis have been controlling much of Yemen's north by force, including the capital Sanaa since 2014. It's mere propaganda to boost the threat of Iran and the Houthis.

The senior Iranian official added that the Saudi regime should "abandon adventurism and warmongering and engage in constructive political dialog with Yemen, which is its neighbor, while respecting the people's rights".

Boiler caused gas leak that killed Iowa family in Mexico
Department of State, and the bodies were found during a welfare check at their condo in Tulum, on the Yucatan Peninsula. The family had been scheduled to return to the US on Wednesday, and their relatives reported them missing the next day.

France on Thursday accused Iran of supplying weapons to Huthi rebels fighting a Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

"It is not the first time Saudi Arabia enters into correspondence against Iran in order to cover up its defeats in Yemen, and the global community is well aware of this fact", Khoshrou was quoted as saying by Iran's state TV.

Military escalation in response to the latest rocket salvo could mean more coalition air strikes - which have been widely criticised for killing civilians - or mobilising the Saudi National Guard from a mostly static position along the border to undertake a concerted ground assault inside northern Yemen.

This criminal aggression by the Tehran-backed Houthi militias proves the continued involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting the insurgents in clear violation of UN Resolutions 2216 and 2231, he said. "He tried to convince me that Israel should attack Iran".

The Foreign Ministry in Tehran likewise rejected the Saudi claims.

Khoshrou called on the Muslin world and the worldwide community to pressure Saudi Arabia to stop war in Yemen.
