Sydney Airport has begun processing passengers after it came to a standstill on Friday morning following "technical issues" that affected two of its terminals. "We're advising passengers and visitors to avoid T1 and T2 until further notice", Sydney Airport said on Twitter.

Around 6.30am, Sydney Airport reported technical difficulties at the two terminals and urged passengers to be patient. "We are working hard to catch up any delays", it said.

At this stage no outbound passengers are leaving from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and flights are being held or rescheduled.
