Few who sat at home watching last year's Oscars telecast are likely to soon forget the show's shocking and chaotic final moments, in which La La Land was mistakenly announced as best picture over the actual victor, Moonlight.

The duo presented past year to coincide with the 50th anniversary of their classic film Bonnie and Clyde, but after an envelope mix-up by the accountants of PricewaterhouseCoopers, they accidentally gave the award to La La Land instead of Moonlight.

Nonetheless, the Academy appears to have pardoned the 80-year-old filmmaker and Chinatown actress' for their previous faux pas.

The Bonnie & Clyde stars apparently have been spotted rehearsing at the Dolby Theater ahead of Sunday's awards ceremony, and they're expected to once again present the victor for Best Picture, according to multiple reports. The pair ran through their lines twice with Faye beginning: "Presenting is better the second time around".

Beatty was confused by what he saw on the card, "so he let her read the victor". However, the writers are apparently still putting the finishing touches to the pair's lines. Faye Dunaway & Warren Beatty! Reports suggest the pair are folding last year's snafu into their script, with Dunaway starting: "Presenting is better the second time around", before Beatty followed up with, "The victor is 'Gone with the Wind'". 'Moonlight, ' you guys won best picture. Once the winner's got onstage they examined the envelope and alerted everyone that Moonlight had in fact won the award instead.

Horowitz then snatches the correct envelope from Beatty and showed it to the audience.

"I want to tell you what happened".

"I thought he was joking, I thought he was stalling". Jimmy Kimmel will also return to host.
