Harvey Weinstein can't escape being a media or legal target.

The state of NY filed a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein, his brother and their eponymous production company Sunday for "egregious violations" of civil rights, human rights and business laws.

The lawsuit alleges that the company broke NY law and violated the company's employees' rights by "failing to protect its employees from pervasive sexual harassment, intimidation, and discrimination", Schneiderman said in a statement.

FTB Advisors Inc. Reduces Position in Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT)
The retailer reported $1.00 earnings per share for the quarter, topping the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of $0.97 by $0.03. It is flat, as 62 investors sold WMT shares while 508 reduced holdings. only 113 funds opened positions while 468 raised stakes.

Schneiderman "believes that the proposed terms of the sale would allow the perpetrators or enablers of the misconduct to see a windfall, and allow top officials at TWC who share responsibility for the misconduct to serve in executive positions of the new entity", his office said in a release.

He allegedly boasted he had connections with the Secret Service that could take care of his problems. These female employees were supposed to help his company produce films and television projects.

Harvey Weinstein is now the target of a lawsuit brought by the State Attorney General of NY.

Eric Schneiderman said while the investigation into Mr Weinstein was ongoing, court intervention was sought in light of the reported imminent sale of The Weinstein Company. The standoff occurred because the Weinstein Company board rejected a settlement offer on Wednesday that potentially left them open to liability over sexual harassment claims against the company, according to an individual with knowledge of the talks.
