Carter Page Goes Down in Flames in Bizarre New Interview

Controversial Memo Releases with a Political Crisis on Friday

The letter in which Page's own words appear was recently obtained by TIME.

"Over the past half year, I have had the privilege to serve as an informal advisor to the staff of the Kremlin in preparation for their Presidency of the G-20 Summit next month, where energy issues will be a prominent point on the agenda", the letter reads.

The letter appears to undercut the controversial GOP memo authored by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) contending that Page was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation after the allegedly biased dossier was assembled in research paid for by Democrats.

Republicans released a memo Friday, drafted by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, California Republican, regarding the use of an unverified dossier to gather surveillance warrants on some members of Mr. Trump's campaign team, including.

"You can understand how that would raise questions and could lead to probable cause", Stephanopoulos continued.

Trump's original campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said on Fox News last March that he had "never met Carter Page".

A former Trump campaign adviser at the center of the discredited dossier said everything he has seen so far is ridiculous. The Steele dossier claims that during a trip to Moscow in July 2016, Page held secret meetings with a senior Kremlin official and a senior Putin ally that included conversations about helping Trump and hurting Hillary Clinton in the presidential campaign.

Page didn't deny any of the facts, but tried to downplay his Russian Federation connections.

Swat attack: Army Chief attends joint funeral prayer of 11 martyrs
Although peace has returned to the valley after a military operation in 2009, security had been a primary concern in the region. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has strongly condemned the suicide attack, the prime minister's office said.

Watch more above, and part two below. Page now acknowledges that he was "Male-1".

Podobny, protected from prosecution by diplomatic immunity, has returned to Russian Federation. "For now, his enthusiasm works for me", the recruiter says of Page. Page has not been charged with any crimes. Page's profile on his firm's website touts his experience with Merril Lynch in Russia, saying he was an adviser "on key transactions" with the top Russian oil and electricity companies.

Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN at the time that Page is "certainly not part of the campaign I'm running".

The letter to the manuscript reviewer is not the first example of Page touting his relationship with Russian Federation.

The editor said that Page's views on Russian Federation were notably different from other scholars.

It is looking more and more like Strzok's gut was right. I will feed him empty promises.

The editor thinks Page was ultimately harmless in terms of national security threats.

In an interview Tuesday, Carter Page said there was "no basis" for the FIB's surveillance of him, which he believes violated the constitution.
