Kashmir Day observed in Pakistan

Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed worldwide tomorrow

The prime minister, referring to the AJK assembly and council, said the house had been a seat of unanimity among different Kashmiri leaders, who lent unequivocal support to the people in the Indian occupied Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Faisal Niaz Tirmizi said that India had turned Kashmir into the world's most militarized disputed territory.

Hafiz Saeed also criticised ousted Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for not playing an active role on the Kashmir issue, claiming that he would help Sharif become PM again if he helped with the "freedom" of Kashmir.

Malik said that "RSS backed rulers in India and their puppets in Jammu Kashmir have adopted a policy of terrorizing Kashmiri Muslims in whatsoever form possible and attacks on Kashmiri students, businessmen, travellers and families across Indian states is part of this wicked plan".

Even after the passage of more than seven decades, he said, the people of Jammu & Kashmir continue to be deprived of the fundamental right of self-determination, despite the promise made to them by the global community through the United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

The people of Pakistan, he said, felt the pains and sufferings of the Kashmir people in IHK, who had been facing the illegal subjugation of the Indian rule for the last 70 years, and extended their whole-hearted support to the Kashmiri leadership.

"I fail to understand as to why Islamabad is ignoring the sacrifices of Kashmiri people".
