'Westworld' Season 2 Trailer

The 'Westworld' Season 2 Trailer Threatens To Burn Everything To The Ground

According to Entertainment Weekly, the trailer - HBO's first Super Bowl commercial in 20 years - was directed by Jonathan Nolan, with some of the footage shot exclusively for the spot. The Season 2 trailer is full of gorgeous shots of open plains, horses, cowboys, and Native Americans, but in expected Westworld fashion, those attractive sights quickly begin to fall apart. With all this talent behind the scenes coupled with all the talent in front of the camera - Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, James Marsden, and more - it's no wonder Westworld became a bona fide hit when it premiered in 2016. Its creator was dead, its hosts had suddenly gained the ability to actually harm the human guests (to the delight of Ed Harris' Man In Black), and at least one host infiltrated the massive behind-the-scenes complex that operates the park.

HBO is releasing the new trailer for "Westworld" season 2 at the upcoming Super Bowl.
