Meghan Markle Suits Up for First Awards Ceremony With Fiance Prince Harry

Wales News Service Splash News

The royal couple, both looking sharp in suits, made their first official evening appearance together since their engagement at the Endeavour Fund Awards Thursday in London. The chic ensemble was seen as an unconventional look for a formal event, as a dress would have been considered a more typical choice. "She's just right for it", the Quantico star gushed.

A new report states that Kate Middleton is apparently giving Meghan Markle the helping hand she needs as she adjusts to her new life in London.

Markle's outfit reminded a lot of people of her character, Rachel Zane, on "Suits". The royal-to-be wore cropped, black cigarette pants paired with a tuxedo shirt by designer Alexander McQueen.

Meghan broke with tradition by not wearing a dress for the royal engagement - and she looked all the more unbelievable for it. And it seems the limelight on Meghan will have a good lasting effect on Prince Harry. The "Suits" alum donned an Alexander McQueen tuxedo as she went to the Endeavour Fund Awards, an event that celebrates achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

It is indeed a big deal considering Markle is set to marry Harry on May 19, but Kate is due in April!

Oil prices shrug off U.S. record
Crude for March delivery rose 18 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $64.91 a barrel after ending the last session up 0.4 percent. Libyan crude exports peaked in October, before geopolitical tension in the region scuppered production once more.

Prince Harry attended the same awards ceremony past year with his brother, Prince William.

What do you think of Meghan Markle's pantsuit?

But despite the unconventional choices, it is clear Markle is well on her way to becoming a fashion icon - with numerous future royal's outfits selling out after she's publicly worn them.

A palace source said that 'She and Meghan get along so well and Kate wants her to know how loved she really is by the family.
