Seller of ammo to Vegas shooter didn't know plan

Haig says he sold Paddock 720 rounds of ammunition from Haig's home gun business. "I didn't even know who this guy was".

So far, there is no any details about Douglas Haig, while the LVMPD and Federal Bureau of Investigation have no comment to the latest information, which was disclosed after local media sought the court to unseal the records related to the Route 91 Harvest festival shooting.

Larry Hatfield, a spokesman for the department, declined to comment on whether Mr. Haig was still considered a person of interest or whether he was the person the sheriff said remained under investigation.

Clark County District Court Judge Elissa Cadish said Tuesday that her staff failed to black out the name in almost 300 pages of documents released to news organizations including The Associated Press and Las Vegas Review-Journal.

On Tuesday night, Haig told reporters that "I'm the guy that sold ammunition to Stephen Paddock", but that he had met Paddock only once and did not know him, the Review-Journal reports.

In October, Haig told Newsweek that when federal agents first contacted him, "I was jumping out of my skin at first".

Haig said he wonders "What did I miss?" and "Why didn't I pick this up?" in his interaction with Paddock.

Photo Investigators outside the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in October. Police say Paddock was the gunman and killed himself as officers converged on him. However, authorities have said an unnamed person could face unspecified charges in connection to the mass shooting.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal said in an article published Tuesday that a judge had unsealed almost 300 pages of search warrant records, in which Haig and Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, were named as "persons of interest" last October. The company's website says it sold tracer and incendiary ammunition but is now "closed indefinitely". An FBI spokeswoman told that outlet she could not immediately comment Tuesday.

The AP attorney returned the documents, but the other lawyer had already transmitted the documents and the Review-Journal published Douglas Haig's name online.

An additional person of interest was identified in the days after gunman Stephen Paddock carried out the Oct.1 massacre on the Las Vegas Strip, newly released court records show.

The other is Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley. Police say he may have been bipolar, and that he was having difficulties with Danley.

A Nevada judge is being asked to release autopsy records that the coroner in Las Vegas says show the 58 victims of the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history died of gunshot wounds. Danley was Paddock's girlfriend and was out of the country at the time of the shooting; authorities have said she is cooperating in the investigation and that they do not expect her to be charged with a crime.
