Modi said the budget would provide new energy to India's fast-growing economy and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the common man.

Prime Minister exhorted all political parties to collectively strive to create a constructive atmosphere in Session, and assured that the government gives huge importance to the issues raised by all political parties. The economic survey is all set to present before the house today with the commencement of budget session today.

The Opposition, however, said it planned to counter the on issues such as incidents of rape and other atrocities on women, alleged attacks on the Constitution and constitutional institutions and the plight of traders, besides the recent incident of communal violence in Uttar Pradesh.
