Clinton: given second chance, I would fire aide accused of sexual harassment

Hillary Clinton Reportedly Shielded Faith Advisor Accused of Sexual Harassment

Hillary Clinton has confirmed reports that she refused to fire a former campaign adviser accused of sexual harassment, saying that she would not have made the same decision today.

Specifically, she questioned why he was targeted over President Donald Trump (accused of sexual assault, harassment and misconduct), failing to realize that accountability is not an either or.

"She told a campaign official that Mr. Strider had rubbed her shoulders inappropriately, kissed her on the forehead and sent her a string of suggestive emails", according to three former campaign officials who spoke with The Times.

Patti Solis Doyle, Clinton's 2008 campaign manager, said she advised Clinton to fire Strider after investigating the allegations, which she deemed "very credible." . She took the politically expedient route of sweeping the matter under the rug, docking the senior adviser several weeks of pay and ordering him to undergo counseling while moving the young woman to a different job, according to a report in The New York Times.

Ms Clinton tweeted last week that she was "dismayed" by the allegations of harassment when they surfaced, but claimed the alleged victims concerns were "taken seriously and addressed".

Apple Inc. (AAPL) Slashing iPhone X Production Amid Weak Demand
Kuo's analysis seems to be heavily based on Apple's rollout of the iPhone 8 , 8 Plus and X in 2017. Both iPhone X models will have 4GB of RAM while the 6.1-inch iPhone will feature a 3GB of RAM.

Now that there is no prospect of her ever gaining a political office useful for punishing her enemies, Hillary Clinton's inner circle of advisors and aides are starting to understand that they free to speak their minds.

Some pointed out she posted the explanation moments before Trump's State of the Union address, while others criticized her for not firing Strider. "That's not something most Democrats walking into evangelical spaces knowing how to do". For instance, Sullivan said, he could explain the differences between Southern Baptists and the more progressive Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. "We can acknowledge that even those of us who have spent much of our life thinking about gender issues and who have firsthand experiences of navigating a male-dominated industry or career may not always get it right". "She did what she was supposed to do and then got punished for it". Then she asks, "Would he have done better - been better - if I had fired him?"

Strider co-founded one of the few faith outreach consultancies to Democrats, called the Eleison Group. The Times said he was sacked from a subsequent job for "workplace issues, including allegations that he harassed a young female aide".

The real outrage, this person said, is that Strider was rehired at Correct the Record, which was run by Clinton allies. He served a pastoral-like role, praying with her and for her. I believed that when confronted with allegations of sexual misconduct in her capacity as a senator, secretary of state or candidate for president that she would handle those accusations decisively and in a way that made clear that she was on the side of other women.
