GOP lawmaker pushes for FISA memo to be released publicly

Three House lawmakers who have read it said the memo claims Federal Bureau of Investigation officials didn't provide a complete set of facts in requests made to a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court to obtain a warrant or warrants on Carter Page, a Trump campaign associate.

Nunes has reportedly denied Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr's (R-N.C.) staff access to a classified memo detailing allegations of government surveillance abuse that is tied to the ongoing Russian Federation election meddling investigation, reported Wednesday.

But don't expect Trump to block the memo's release should the House vote in favor, as Trump reportedly favors the action.

Trump erupted in anger while traveling to Davos after learning that Associate Attorney General Stephen Boyd warned that it would be "extraordinarily reckless" to release a classified memo written by House Republican staffers. Wray disliked the president's pressure so much, he threatened to quit, according to Axios in a report that was hotly disputed by the White House.

White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah said on CNN's "New Day" Monday that releasing the memo could "send a message of accountability" in the United States intelligence community. Although reports indicate that the document consists of partisan talking points crafted to cast undue aspersions on the work of the Justice Department, there has been an increasing groundswell of support-fueled, in part, by the #ReleaseTheMemo Twitter campaign noted above-for making the memo available to the public.

The panel voted last week to allow House lawmakers to view the memo in the committee's secure spaces.

NY exploring ways to part with Joakim Noah
Noah had played just 96 total games over the previous two seasons, with his productivity and athleticism declining along the way. He missed New York's next two games - the loss to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday and the win over the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

Asked whether they had requested access to the memo or its underlying intelligence, or whether they had a position on its release, the CIA, NSA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence all declined to comment.

"I just bet a friend $100 that Schiff's (fake try to get ahead of the bad for them narrative) memo "leaks" to the media before we see the real memo".

The House Intelligence Committee could vote as early as this week on whether to release the memo.

"I can't prove that they were the final decision makers", Gowdy, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Affairs, told "Fox News Sunday". It's classified, I haven't seen it. That's information that the American people should have about the law-enforcement arm of the Department of Justice. If Trump fires Rosenstein, he can then appoint a new Deputy Attorney General who will fire Mueller. McCabe had previously said he would retire in March, but chose to depart the FBI Monday and go on leave until his retirement. Trump reportedly is not opposed to its release.

They claim the document shows Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference is motivated by political bias within the FBI. Republicans had criticized McCabe's involvement in aspects of the Trump probe and the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email practices, even though his wife had accepted donations from Democratic political organizations for an unsuccessful election bid in 2015.
