Snap falls after report Twitter is the latest competitor to copy Snapchat

Snapchat will soon let users share their snap stories across the web

The company is working on a new feature that could make it easier for people to share video clips, according to a report from Bloomberg, Thursday.

Twitter might be joining its social media counterparts in the instant video-sharing phenomenon by adding an easily-accessible camera feature to its app design.

The company is now making it easier for users to share and watch Snapchat videos outside the multimedia app.

"Twitter declined to comment". The report claims that the company is developing a Snapchat-like tool to popularize video sharing on its network and bring in more users.

Elton John announces retirement with marathon three-year farewell tour
John replied, "It's the last time that I will be touring because my priorities have changed in my life". In a live interview and concert in NY on Wednesday, Elton John announced his retirement from touring.

Since this new camera feature would come on the heels of the, it looks like Twitter is looking for more ways to enable their users to create dynamic content - a decided shift from the minimalist, text-only 140 character count capabilities of yore.

This feature is now available in Australia and Canada, where both, the iOS and Android apps have already been updated with the new design, which was being teased by the company last November. Bloomberg's report stated that Twitter's goal with the new product is to cut down the number of steps to start sharing videos. Currently, the only way to access the camera on the app is by tapping on the compose button and opening the camera to take a photo or video. For Facebook and Instagram, users will only have to swipe right to access the camera, as pointed out by MacRumors.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has called Snapchat a "very modern" app and even admitted that his own app can be confusing. This feature would let users post their Snap stories across the web. If the working demo turns into a full-fledged feature that boosts engagement, it could be more pleasant news for Dorsey and investors.

Twitter planning to update its app for iOS and Android devices to make the camera more accessible.
