Gunners make fresh bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal are leaving no stone unturned in Aubameyang's pursuit and have now offered an improved bid for the German giants to consider.

Aubameyang fuelled speculation he was on his way to Arsenal yesterday by packing up his auto with boxes.

Arsenal have had their latest bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - a bid that was reportedly £50 million - rejected.

Mkhitaryan, who was on the sidelines for Arsenal's win on Wednesday, signed for the club on Monday in a deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester United after a drawn-out transfer saga.

While it had been widely reported that Arsenal had moved close to signing the Gabonese worldwide in the past week, unfortunately for fans of the north London club, Arsene Wenger has stated the club are "not close" to signing Aubameyang, or anyone else for that matter.

Sanchez's move to Man U was for money, Wenger declares
Chile forward Sanchez, 29, who nearly joined Manchester City last summer, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal. Smalling and United are next in action on Friday night at Yeovil Town in the FA Cup fourth round.

Dortmund, who have previously criticised Arsenal for publicly discussing the transfer, say they simply want "clarity" over the player's future.

"Look, the negotiations are not as far as that". The new offer would eclipse the £44 million that they paid Lyons for Alexandre Lacazette in July.

Arsenal will face off against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup this evening but Arsene Wenger has been answering questions on another subject.

Wenger admitted Mkhitaryan was a target for Arsenal before he moved to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 and the Frenchman has backed the 29-year-old to reinvigorate his career following his challenging time at Old Trafford.

He added: "You never know how close you are". We have other things in mind as well and we have plenty of opportunities in different positions.
