"[$$$] NVIDIA announces 65" 4K 120Hz gaming displays with Android TV built in

Asus BFGD

Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs) are aimed at gamers who want a seriously good look at the action, and Nvidia just unveiled its very first BFGD at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

At a desk, it's unlikely you'd be able to view the entirety of this monitor without a lot of head movement. "And when you finally stop playing PC games for the day you'll receive a fantastic experience playing NVIDIA SHIELD games, streaming content, using Plex and Kodi, watching movies and TV shows, playing on consoles, and watching live-streamed TV". Very smooth and tear-free gaming is also promised thanks to the inclusion of Nvidia G-Sync.

According to NVIDIA, the 4K display meets the DCI-P3 color gamut and has a full-array direct backlighting solution capable of outputting 1000 nits of brightness.

Acer has yet to announce the launch date or a price for the monitor.

Iran unrest divides UN Security Council meeting
The protests are the most widespread of their kind in Iran since the unrest that followed 2009's disputed presidential election.

This is a HDR (High Dynamic Range) monitor which means, gamers are going to have super realistic quality. The Shield functionality which was previously only available as a separate box optimizes the display for broader application. Nope the feature list of the BFGD doesn't stop there, insane I know, it also has (like most things at CES) Google Assistant built-in, so basically you just yell at the screen and cool stuff happens.

No pricing details of the upcoming display have been revealed by the company. If you're interested in the best and biggest displays for your home gaming setup, these are monitors worth keeping an eye out for. Especially if they're G-Sync compatible.

The monitors boast 120Hz refresh rates, nVidia's G-Sync variable refresh technology and integrated, Android TV-based Shield TV functionality, which essentially turns them into voice-controlled Smart TVs (although, being monitors, they don't contain TV tuners).
