Former UGA player Matt Stinchcomb elected to College Football Hall of Fame

Taylor was a two-time All-American at NU - and first player in school history to be selected at two different positions - and won the Outland in 1997, when he was a senior captain.

The College Football Hall of Fame is adding 13 new members as part of the Class of 2018, it was announced Monday-including former UNC head coach Mack Brown. But he learned Monday that he has already gained inclusion in the College Football Hall of Fame in December.

Dickenson played professionally for 12 seasons, mostly in the CFL, where he led the B.C. Lions to the 2006 Grey Cup championship.

Beamer will be joined in the class by former North Carolina and Texas coach Mack Brown and former MI standout Charles Woodson, who won the Heisman Trophy. His 21 career interceptions and 389 interception return yards still stand as Miami and Big East records.

Beamer will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on December 4 in NY.

Taylor came to Nebraska from Wichita Falls, Texas, and was a starter at both left guard (1995 and '97) and center (1996) during his Husker career.

Taylor had his No. 67 jersey retired by the Huskers in 1998. The group is headlined by Brown, former Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer, former Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson, former MI defensive back Charles Woodson and former Miami defensive back Ed Reed.

The inductees will be permanently enshrined at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta later that December and honored on the field during the 14th Annual National Hall of Fame Salute during the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
