Chelsea Sign £15m Barkley From Everton, Hand Him No.8 Jersey

Chelsea complete signing of Ross Barkley from Everton

As a result of the injury, Barkley has not featured for the Toffees this season, so it could take him some time to get up to speed with his new side.

Barkley made 150 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club.

Chelsea agreed a deal to sign Barkley during the summer but the move fell through at the last minute.

The midfielder will wear the No. 8 shirt for his new club and will soon be available to play first-team football once again, following his lay-off through a hamstring injury sustained in the summer.

But I firmly believe, if Barkley puts in the work, he will become one of Chelsea and England's brightest stars.

Barkley told the Chelsea website: "I'm overwhelmed, I'm looking forward to it and I'm really excited to get started".

Russia Boosts 2017 Crude Oil Production To 30-Year High
Brent crude futures , the worldwide benchmark, were down 53 cents, or 0.8 per cent at $66.34 a barrel. Oil prices have lost ground in the days following last week.

The England global joined the Blues for £15 million on a five-and-a-half year contract, after failing to make a switch in the summer due to hamstring injury.

Barkley is widely reported to have travelled to London on Thursday for a medical and is expected to be announced as a Chelsea player by the end of Friday.

Chelsea's top-flight title defence has faded amid Manchester City's stunning form, with Antonio Conte's men facing a 16-point deficit to the summit. Ross Barkley is a Chelsea player, good luck to him.

Conte urged caution over expectations for Barkley.

"We are talking about a player with great potential", Conte said at Cobham Training Centre. "He's very young, I think he has a lot of space for improvement, he's very strong physically with good technique".

This is not necessarily a bad thing for Tottenham, however, what with Barkley's less than impressive injury record, and his inconsistent form over the past couple of years. "I have to still see him and then we have the opportunity to work together and understand how much time he needs [until he makes his debut]".
