Gargash: Emirates flights to Tunisia cease after 'security warning' prompts increased safety measures

"[Emirates Airlines employees] told me that a Tunisian woman under the age of 30, with a Tunisian passport, can't get on the Emirates flight".

"The UAE authorities informed the Tunisian side about the reports and information on [terrorists'] plans to attack the UAE and stage a terror attack involving Tunisian women during the Christmas celebrations", a high-ranking source in the Tunisian government has confirmed Sputnik on Monday.

Dubai airline Emirates will stop flying to Tunisia, it said on Sunday, after the North African country said it had banned flights from the United Emirates carrier.

"Emirates will stop services between Tunis and Dubai, as instructed by the Tunisian authorities, with effect from December 25, 2017", reads the tweet.

He added that the UAE valued and respected Tunisian women.
