Twitter suspends Britain First leaders' accounts

Twitter's official account on a smartphone. The platform has announced it will enforce a new set of rules aiming to curb abuse and harassment

According to the new rules enforced by Twitter, "violent extremist groups will be banned from having accounts".

Twitter made one of their first cuts Monday, by suspending the account of Jayda Fransen, the leader of the controversial Britain First group, known for tweeting anti-Muslim rhetoric.

Let us be clear that the authenticity of the videos Trump posted have been widely disputed-Dutch authorities denied that a video titled "Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches" involved any migrants at all, and a video titled "Islamist mob pushes teenage boy off roof and beats him to death" was filmed in Egypt during the overthrow of president Mohamed Morsi. Fransen and Golding were arrested in Belfast last week for allegedly stirring up hatred.

The party's official Twitter page has suffered the same fate.

Monitors at the San Francisco company will weigh hateful imagery in the same way they do graphic violence and adult content.

Hateful imagery will now be considered sensitive media under our media policy.

Samsung's new phones have dual selfie cameras
Both the Galaxy A8 (2018 ), as well as the Galaxy A8 + (2018), features the Infinity Display and boast an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Battery: While the A8 2018 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery , the A8+ 2018 has a larger 3,500mAh battery inside.

Twitter is also prohibiting users from abusing or threatening others through their profiles or usernames.

Twitters new policy applies to accounts "that affiliate with organizations that use or promote violence against civilians to further their causes", Twitter's rules explain, or to content "that glorifies violence or the perpetrators of a violent act".

The account for Jared Taylor, who heads the New Century Foundation, was among those suspended, along with his organization's flagship online publication, American Renaissance. "We will require offending Tweets to be removed and repeated violations will result in permanent suspension", Twitter said. The social media service announced the policy change in November.

In a statement, the social site said: "Today, we are starting to enforce these policies across Twitter". As the platform rolled out new features such as longer tweets and the ability to "thread" posts, some users were exasperated that the company wasn't also making moves to combat abuse and harassment by its users.

Asked Monday if Twitter's new rules would stop Nazis and their ilk from just opening new accounts after being kicked off the site, a Twitter spokesperson told HuffPost that the company takes "preventative measures to help keep accounts that have been suspended from popping up under new guises, though we don't discuss those measures publicly lest we inadvertently make it easier for suspended users to evade such measures".
