'The Office' Revival at NBC Featuring Old, New Cast - 2018-19 Season

Office attire The show starred a host of talented actors and writers including Rainn Wilson John Krasinski Jenna Fischer Craig Robinson Mindy Kaling and B.J. Novak and received 42 Emmy nominations while on air

Sources told TV Line that it would be a "continuation" of the original series that would hopefully air during the 2018-2019 season.

Greenblatt stated: "We often talk about The Office".

Fans may disappointed to hear that Steve Carell's character, Scranton's regional manager Michael Scott, will not be involved in the series.

"I loved working on the show and I was there for eight years", Kaling said on The Talk back in September.

NBC is reportedly looking to revive The Office for another season. It's always, "Maybe someday, but not now". The show is expected to include a mix of both old and new cast members. It followed the everyday lives of employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton Pennsylvania. Greenblatt said there was an "open invitation" at the time, and that should Daniels want to move forward with the project the network would be on board.

The Office, which is a spinoff from the British show created by Ricky Gervais, ran for nine seasons from 2005-2013. Would you be interested in an Office revival?

But the success of NBC's recent "Will & Grace" return likely cemented the idea, and put an "Office" reboot on the fast track.

While the original US edition turned the likes of Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, Mindy Kailing, Ed Helms and Craig Robinson into household names, a source tells Variance it's unlikely any of them would appear in the new version, although Wilson could somehow be an exception.
