Samsung's new phones have dual selfie cameras

Samsung Galaxy A8, A8+ (2018) goes official with dual front camera, Infinity display

Both the Galaxy A8 (2018), as well as the Galaxy A8+ (2018), features the Infinity Display and boast an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Samsung's newest midrangers are made entirely of glass, and sport the Infinity Display design of their flagship siblings, albeit in a more unrefined form, with thicker top and bottom bezels, and no flexible, side-sloping displays. Samsung has claimed that these smartphones can switch easily and automatically between the two sensors located at the front to render the bokeh effects. Both smartphones are powered by the same 2.2GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7885 processor. The device is available on Amazon and the e-tailer is giving cashback of Rs 4,000 on HDFC credit card on the purchase of Galaxy Note 8.

Battery: While the A8 2018 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, the A8+ 2018 has a larger 3,500mAh battery inside. The Galaxy A8 comes with 4GB RAM as well as 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and USB Type-C port. The upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9+ are also expected to have the fingerprint scanner at the same position. A single 16MP camera with a larger/wider f/1.7 aperture graces the rear with a digital image stabilization software and hyperlapse. "These handsets also feature Samsung's first dual front camera with "Live Focus", tech website Sam Mobile reported. The secondary 8MP sensor captures depth information to blur the background. Both handsets are IP68 rated water and dust resistance.

Ryanair and unions "agree to meet on Wednesday"
The Impact trade union is looking for further reassurances from the airline before calling off its planned walkout on Wednesday. Ryanair has said it is prepared to recognise pilot unions as it seeks to avoid strike disruption over the Christmas period.

There you have it.

Samsung launched its most expensive smartphone Galaxy Note 8 in India in September this year. It's good to see Samsung upping the game, and looking to compete with brands. The handsets will be soon available for purchase in Europe and other markets. It will come in Black, Orchid Grey, Gold and Blue.

Samsung Galaxy S9 will likely go on sale in March, though the phones will be revealed at CES 2018.
