Florida State hires OR coach Willie Taggart

According to multiple reports, Taggart is leaving OR to become the next coach at Florida State, a job left open when Jimbo Fisher went to Texas A&M.

OR went 7-5 under Taggart and was just awarded a spot in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Willie Taggart has agreed to become Florida State's next football coach. Taggart briefly coached with Harbaugh's son who was nearing the end of his National Football League career.

"Do Something" became his tagline for his first season with the Ducks.

It was announced Sunday that the Ducks (7-5) and Broncos (10-3) would meet on December 16 for the Las Vegas Bowl.

Offbeat | Former President Barack Obama: 'Think before you tweet'
Trump has threatened several times to withdraw from the Paris accord saying it is crippling United States business. His remarks about this inspired laughter in the room, which was packed with French CEOs and former ministers.

McMurphy also cited sources saying returning to his home state of Florida was a factor in Taggart's decision.

It will be Taggart's third program in three seasons. Tigard High School's Bradan Lenzy decommitted.

Haggins led the Seminoles (6-6) to a 42-10 win over Louisiana-Monroe in Saturday's regular-season finale. But FSU rebounded and won four of five down the stretch to continue the program's record bowl streak to 36 consecutive years. Shockingly, that already makes Mullen the fifth-longest serving coach in the Sunshine State.

While the 41-year-old has a mere 47-50 career record in FBS, it doesn't quite show the job he has done to improve teams from where they were before arriving.

Taggart is known for changing cultures and being highly adaptable at all of the schools he has coached. Yet for certain, athletic director Stan Wilcox did his due diligence to hire the best-possible candidate for the job.
