Final season of 'House of Cards' to return without Kevin Spacey

Indie Wire reported that the six season will end with focus exclusively on Robin Wright's character, Claire Underwood, according to Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos.

The political drama was put on hold in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against the Oscar-winning actor. The streaming giant similarly decided not to move forward with a film starring Spacey as Gore Vidal.

Producers had been struggling with what do about Spacey's character Frank Underwood after he was sacked from the show following the shocking report by Buzzfeed in which "Star Trek" actor Anthony Rapp accused the "House of Cards" star of making a sexual advance against him when he was 14 years old. Spacey addressed the accusation on Twitter, apologizing for the act but saying he didn't remember it.

While the series is one of Netflix's flagship productions, Sarandos also explained that it was important for the the show to continue so the some-2000 Baltimore-area workers and artisans who make House Of Cards happen could return to their jobs.

Content chief at Netflix, Ted Sarandos, said that Robin Wright, who plays Claire Underwood, will be elevated to the central role in the series.

Florida State Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher to take Texas A&M coaching job
Fisher told university president John Thrasher yesterday that he was resigning to accept Texas A&M's offer. Texas A&M has invested heavily in facilities the past five years, including a football operations center.

Here's to Robin Wright getting even more screen time in the final year of House of Cards.

Current and former employees who worked on House of Cards told CNN that Spacey would target young men on the production team with "nonconsensual touching and crude comments". The production for the sixth season will reportedly start around the beginning of 2018 and will be the final season for the show.

"We have made an arrangement to produce six seasons of "House of Cards".

The final season will not include Spacey, as previously announced. Spacey was officially suspended from the show early last month.

The shorter, eight episode season will be a marked contrast from the 13 episodes in all previous seasons.
