During interviews with news media reporters, the girl's parents had pleaded for her to return home.

Columbia County deputies say after 4pm, a New York State police officer spotted the red Mercury, Frisina and Rian Rodriquez were traveling in.

The sheriff's office did not immediately provide details on the circumstances surrounding the girl being found. The officer pulled the auto over and took Rodriguez into custody without incident, the sheriff's office said.

"I know that she to some degree left on her own".

Caitlyn Frisina of Lake City had been missing since Saturday.

Tips on how to properly care for a real Christmas tree
The National Christmas Tree Association (NCTA) told CBN News that it's a "tight market" this year for fresh Christmas trees. Right now, we're seeing a nationwide Christmas tree shortage.

The aunt of a 17-year-old girl who fled with a 27-year-old man from Florida shared a photo of the family reunited after a week-long, national search. Frisina told police that she left with Rian willingly and she was unharmed.

Rodriguez could face criminal charges, according to reports, and was arrested on a warrant issued for interfering with child custody.

Frisina and Rodriguez were spotted on cameras in Georgia on Sunday and then at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Late Friday night, New York State Police said he had been charged as a fugitive of justice and was arraigned in the town of Salina and remanded to Onondaga County. First Coast News was told he was sacked for not showing up to work.

According to statement released by the Columbia County School District, they said they were working in tandem with the sheriff's office and added that the coach has been suspended due to the ongoing investigation.
