'Glee' Star Naya Rivera Has Been Arrested on Domestic Battery Charges

'Glee' star Naya Rivera arrested reportedly on domestic battery charge against husband in West Virginia

Glee star Naya Rivera is in trouble with the law following an altercation with her husband of three years, Ryan Dorsey, which led to her arrest for domestic battery.

Late in the night of November 25, 2017, Deputy T. Dubiel of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to an address on 126th Street in Chesapeake, WV for a domestic violence complaint. Dorsey claimed that Rivera struck him in the head and face while they were taking their child on a walk.

Dorsey gave police a cell phone video of the assault, leading to Rivera's arrest, according to the complaint.

Upon her arrest, Rivera was taken to the Kanawha County Magistrate Court where she was arraigned and a bond was set.

In a video from local news station WSAZ, a soft-spoken Rivera is shown handcuffed and wearing a gray hoodie and dark trousers while being arraigned.

Cops said Rivera, who starred as bad girl Glee high school cheerleader Santana Lopez, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery early Sunday in West Virginia.

Rivera and Dorsey dated before Rivera got engaged to rapper Big Sean in 2013.

The pair announced their divorce past year, before calling it off earlier in October, for the sake of their little one. Rivera later revealed in her book that she and Dorsey had a long history going back to 2010.

Rivera had filed from divorce from Dorsey in 2016, requesting primary custody of their son, but the couple had seemed to reconcile recently - apparently not. Anderson called off his engagement to Rivera after a year, and released his 2015 hit "IDFWU" shortly after.
