Springs Rescue Mission hosting annual Thanksgiving community meal

"I tell ya, it makes me feel good", said Margaret Brookins, Holy Trinity Church of God, who has been volunteering for 20 years. His family donates time and money. She says she does it to show her love for her community.

They started serving meals on Wednesday, and they will continue to serve holiday meals through Sunday.

"Well it's my tradition and so I'm happy to be here and I'm very happy that I've been blessed, able to do this", he added. Hundreds of volunteers spent this Thanksgiving morning hard at work at the Buffalo City Mission taking part in this year's "Turkey Express". Area schools also made place mats for the meal.
