Meg Whitman steps down as HP Enterprise CEO

Meg Whitman on Tuesday announced that she will step down as chief executive of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co

Stoneridge Investment Partners LLC bought a new stake in shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (NYSE:HPE) in the third quarter, according to the company in its most recent 13F filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

This announcement surprised even the Wall Street and the HPE share had o witness a fall of 6% in its worth. That makes her No. 6 on the magazine's list of USA women who made their fortunes.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE) traded up $0.03 during trading hours on Wednesday, reaching $14.12. "No chance", she said.

Whitman, who formerly led eBay, may want to take some time to recoup after a dizzying half-dozen years.

Whitman, 61, took over in 2011 at the former Hewlett-Packard Co., a company founded in 1939 and for years a tech bellwether.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced that its board has approved a stock repurchase plan on Wednesday, October 18th that authorizes the company to repurchase $5.00 billion in shares.

HPE executes against a three-tiered strategy: hybrid IT with a focus on data center, software-defined infrastructure, systems software and private cloud; edge computing for campus and branch networking and the industrial IoT; and advisory, professional and operational services. "During Whitman's tenure, HPE also unloaded its Indian IT outsourcing unit Mphasis to the Blackstone Group", Vanian writes.

MS-13 Members Stabbed Maryland Man, Decapitated Him, Tore Out Heart
The victim's body was found in a grave September 5 in Wheaton Regional Park, according to Montgomery County Police. But that wasn't enough of a message to send for MS-13, who also removed his heart from his chest.

In other news, CEO Margaret C. Whitman sold 249,052 shares of the firm's stock in a transaction dated Thursday, September 14th. She also ran an unsuccessful California gubernatorial campaign, which cost her $144 million. So let me make this as clear as I can.

Her resignation comes just two months after Whitman promised she was "not going anywhere".

That problem was solved in 2015, when Whitman split the company in two.

On a conference call with analysts, Whitman said she's taking a little down time, and there's "no chance" she will join a competitor to HPE or HP.

"The company has also sought to strengthen its remaining businesses with a handful of acquisitions, including the $1.1 billion purchase this year of Nimble Storage, a start-up and a leader in the fast-growing market for so-called flash storage", the NYT's Lohr points out.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company is a provider of technology solutions.

Says Whitman: "We've got a very good leadership bench. The next CEO of the company needs to be a deeper technologist, and that's exactly what Antonio is".
