Jerry Jones apologizes for inappropriate racial comment made in 2013

NFL Jones conduct detrimental to league

He asks Jones to congratulate his fiancee on their wedding plans.

It's because Jones sees the Elliott suspension as "an unforgivable breach" of his trust in Goodell.

Jerry Jones is now at the center of a back-and-forth issue with the NFL compensation committee as well as Roger Goodell as he continues to try and sabotage him getting a new contract from the league. Jones then chuckles as the camera pans to a man who laughs nervously.

The Cowboys owner had been in a feud with Goodell since August, when the Commissioner suspended Dallas Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliot over accusations of domestic violence against his girlfriend in 2016.

Bill Gates commits $100 million to help fight Alzheimer's
Microsoft's billionaire founder Bill Gates has pledged $50m (£38.2m) to a London-based fund seeking to tackle dementia. He says the Gates Foundation might consider how to expand access in poorer countries when treatments are developed.

"That comment was inappropriate", Jones said in a statement, per the Star-Telegram. "It's not who I am, and I'm sorry".

It doesn't look like the feud between Jerry Jones and the National Football League is going to be ending anytime soon.

Jones cited the threats of discipline against him and wrote: "Such severe threats of retaliation further demonstrate the dysfunction of the current process, and show the danger of reposing excessive power in a single executive position or committee where an owner's right to his franchise is threatened simply because he questions the negotiation process of a compensation package". Instead, the owners are going to allow Jones to discuss Goodell's proposed contract extension at a previously planned league meeting that's scheduled for December 13. Goodell handed Elliott a six-game suspension, which is the baseline for a first offender under the league's policy. The intensity of feelings on both sides has kept this issue in the spotlight and now a new incident involving Jones is likely to dominate the news for the next few days. The NFL already sent his attorney a letter saying his conduct is detrimental to the league.

"I won't cast judgment, on one moment when a joke went south, to capture who this man represents in a lifetime commitment of love and compassion to all ethnicities", Sanders said via email. The league could sanction Jones over it with fines or the loss of draft picks, like what happened to the Patriots after deflategate. He called those claims ridiculous.
