Brandon Peters injured in MI loss to Wisconsin

Michigan defensive back Lavert Hill looks on in the second quarter of their college football game against Cincinnati at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday

The miscues aren't ideal, but Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst's confidence hasn't wavered in the 6-foot-4, 215-pound quarterback.

MI quarterback Brandon Peters was carted off the field with an injury in the third quarter of 19th-ranked Michigan's game Saturday against No. 5 Wisconsin. He's going to meet us at the plane. "I think he did a lot of good things". The Badgers are now 11-0 on the season and must have impressed the playoff committee. Last week, they held Iowa to 66 total yards.

O'Korn was 2-for-8 passing for 19 yards and no turnovers.

One team believed in its quarterback, the other didn't.

The Badgers recorded four first downs and ran just one play in MI territory during the first half, but they took a 7-0 lead on Nick Nelson's 50-yard punt return.

The score was tied 7-7. The Badgers got a huge boost from their special teams unit with 1:15 to go in the first quarter, as Nick Nelson ran a MI punt back 50 yards to go up 7-0.

On the next drive, Hornibrook connected with freshman wide receiver Danny Davis on third-and-8, one play before freshman Kendric Pryor took an end around 32 yards for a score that extended the Badgers' lead to 21-10 with 0:24 left in the third quarter. His leaping 48-yard reception in the second quarter helped set up Michigan's first touchdown.

He's also thrown five interceptions.

Wisconsin's Rafael Gaglianone nailed a 30-yard field goal to secure the win. The Badgers followed a season-long script of recovering from mistakes. "But just - I don't know what happened after that". Big Ten-leading rusher Jonathan Taylor had trouble finding holes.

After three straight games of dominating play on the ground, MI was shut down completely running the ball.

Hornibrook said his performance has been boosted by Taylor and freshman wide receiver Danny Davis, who combined for 117 receiving yards against MI. He finished with four catches for 64 yards.

"They're tough, competitive guys; they love playing the game", Hornibrook said.

It took a while for the offense to get going. Here's what we learned from the Badgers taking down MI on Saturday at Camp Randall. But on the next drive, Brandon Peters was knocked out. MI got more bad news on its next drive when Peters was injured on a late hit and replaced by John O'Korn for the rest of the game.

After the game, head coach Jim Harbaugh said that Peters was getting tests at the hospital. "We can't get him as much". He was hit hard by Wisconsin linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel after releasing a third-down pass and needed to be carted off the field.

Harbaugh said Hornibrook and Jonathan Taylor had strong efforts down the stretch. He said, 'We've got to do this for BP'. This week, they beat MI by two touchdowns. That ended up being the difference in the game. It was the only deep ball that the pair was able to connect on all game.

On the very next possession, Wisconsin converted two third and longs, including a 3rd-and-17 for a touchdown. Badgers freshman C Tyler Biadasz started against MI. A Wisconsin starting five that ran roughshod over Iowa's physical defense last week could be without center Tyler Biadasz (left leg) against MI.
