Luis Suarez, a former Liverpool player himself, recently told MD that "Coutinho would contribute a lot to Barcelona", a perception that isn't really a secret.

Reports in Spain claim that Liverpool have rejected Barcelona's latest transfer offer which was approximately £106.4million.

Lasmar said there was a chance that, against Japan, Coutinho "could be on the bench and play a few minutes".

Sport claim, in their "confidencial" section, that Coutinho has had to understand the economic realities of joining Barcelona right now means taking less money than he could otherwise get at Liverpool.

With the winter transfer window soon approaching, the saga revolving around Coutinho is taking a new turn every day.

"He went through a hard and very complicated moment but as a professional he continued to show how good a player he is and the personal quality he has", Suarez told Mundo Deportivo. Though they remain in the market for the player with another bid possible.
