Case registered against Kamal Haasan in Varanasi for Hindu terror remark

Kamal Haasan

Angered by the uncharitable remarks of Kamal Haasan, Sharma - the national Vice President of the Hindu group - said that people who used such language or were so biased against the Hindu religion and its faithfuls had no right to live.

A complaint was filed against the actor in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on Friday.

"Kamal Haasan and likes of him should either be shot dead or hanged so that they learn a lesson".

The court has listed the case for a hearing on Saturday. Such death threats can not destroy the freedom of expression and silence Kamal Haasan as India is a democratic country. In an oblique reference to certain Hindu outfit's call to shoot and kill him for his remarks on Hindu terrorism, the actor said: "When you raise an alarm and chase politicians who burgled our natural resources, they turn around and scoff at you". But once this tactic failed, they started using muscle power instead of dialogue. They started indulging in violence.

In his post titled "To whomsoever it may concern", Prakash Raj said "If abusing and manhandling young couples on the streets of my country in the name of morality is not terrorising".
