ATTENTION: McDonald's is bringing Szechuan sauce back for one day only

McDonald’s is bringing back its Szechuan sauce and it's thanks to Rick and Morty

I bet you thought when co-creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, posted videos of him and the rest of the crew taste-testing some limited-edition McDonald's Szechuan McNugget dipping sauce, that would be the end of it. They truly put the "I WANT THAT SZECHUAN SAUCE" in "Buttermilk Crispy Tenders"'.

The sauce is available because McDonald's is releasing its new Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, as well as giving away 1,000 limited-edition, hand numbered, screen-printed posters for the various sauces available alongside them.

It's not very often that we can thank a cartoon for a real-life windfall. It was all but forgotten until the season three premiere of Rick And Morty, when Rick told Morty: "I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce". However, it appears they're going for a more democratic release soon, temporarily bringing back the Szechuan sauce as part of their "Obsauced" promotion.

Chelsea Confident Alvaro Morata Will Return In Time To Face Crystal Palace
Morata was a doubt before the game, but manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he decided he needed to risk his number nine. The Spaniards take on Italy and Albania in their World Cup qualifiers but the former Real Madrid man will miss both matches.

The demands of "Rick and Morty" led to a massive online campaign to bring the sauce - a delicious mix of garlic, chili peppers and Szechuan peppers - back to the present day. "If it takes nine seasons, I want my McNugget dipping Szechuan Sauce, Morty!".

Not missing a beat, McDonald's Corporate Chef Mike Haracz tweeted "I'll see what I can do".

The sauce, which was originally offered in 1998 as part of a marketing tie-in with the release of Disney's "Mulan", will now be available at select locations for one day only on October 7, in honor of the chain's new Buttermilk Crispy Tenders. It'll be available for one day only, October 7, and only in select locations, but by god you really did it. Roiland was eventually gifted his own jug of sauce by the chain, leading to a contest and eBay auction of the sauce. with Deadmau5 forking over an undisclosed amount for his own jug.
