China to swap billion in loans for 25-year coal supply from Russia
China and Russia signed an energy cooperation agreement in Russia’s Far East area on Aug. 31, under which, China will provide Russia with loans totaling 6 billion U.S. dollars in exchange for additional coal resources from Russia over the next 25 years, according to an announcement released on the China Coal Trade and Development Association Web site on Sept. 8.
